Trustees Commit to Match up to $40,000 in Gifts to Annual Fund

June 2, 2016

In just one year we have announced plans to launch a first-of-its-kind Ph.D. program in Islamic Studies and Christian-Muslim Relations, expanded the impact of the incredibly popular International Peacemaking Program, launched a successful professional development gathering for college chaplains, added two full-time faculty members to the Macdonald Center and saw a doubling of enrollment in our Doctor of Ministry program.

Three New Trustees Named to Board

The Hartford Seminary Board of Trustees welcomed three new members at the Annual Meeting on May 9th on campus. Two newly-appointed trustees, Clare Feldman and Dean Ahlberg, will serve three-year terms, while faculty trustee Feryal Salem was appointed to a two-year term.

Hartford Seminary was thrilled to learn that 2014 Islamic Chaplaincy Program graduate Asnage Castelly will wrestle for Haiti in the 2016 Olympics, and in fact, has made history as Haiti’s first Olympic wrestler.

A Celebratory Send-Off for Prof. Yehezkel Landau

Over the years he has been at Hartford Seminary, Prof. Yehezkel Landau has taken on numerous titles. He was the first Jewish core faculty member, the holder of the Abrahamic Partnerships Chair, and the Director of the Building Abrahamic Partnerships Program. The titles, though, don’t fully capture the deep impact he has had on the community.
