Hartford Seminary will be closed on Monday, Jan. 21, for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We encourage everyone to find a way to celebrate the life of the civil rights icon during the long weekend that honors him.

Deena Grant, Associate Professor of Jewish Studies, will present a lecture series at Beth Sholom B’nai Israel Synagogue in Manchester. The lectures will run from 7:30 to 9 p.m. on Jan. 14, 21 and 28.

President Joel N. Lohr is the co-author of a new, third edition of a religious studies textbook and co-editor of a “festschrift” containing scholarly essays, released last summer. Both are published with university presses.
