Marston Speight, 86, Passes Away

The Rev. Dr. R. Marston Speight, M.A. '63 and Ph.D. '70, one of the nation's best-known experts in Christian-Muslim relations, died January 19 at his home in Cromwell, CT. He was 86.

Distinguished Scholars Visit Hartford Seminary

On December 16, Dr. N. J. Demerath III spoke at Professor David Roozen's "World Religions and Worldly Politics" course. Dr. Demerath is a retired professor at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, author of "Crossing the Gods, World Religions and Worldly Politics," a text in the course, and past president of the Society for the Scientific Study of Religion.
