Dr. Bilal Ansari Will Participate in Gathering of Prominent Scholars

Dr. Bilal Ansari, Faculty Associate in Muslim Pastoral Theology and Director of the Islamic Chaplaincy Program, is among 12 prominent scholars who will participate in a two-day seminar on the topic, "God Talk: Divine Revelation and Communication" on Feb. 18 and 19.

As we begin a new week after the conclusion of a sacred day, our national holiday honoring the legacy of the great Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., we are reminded of the important work ahead to bring racial justice to our country and world. May God give us strength and resolve. On this new day we are also reminded that our Jewish family is again wounded, this time in working through the trauma and senselessness of the Colleyville synagogue hostage crisis.

$1 Million Lilly Endowment Grant to Create a National Training Program for Black Church Leaders

Hartford International University for Religion and Peace (HIU), formerly Hartford Seminary, is set to transform its Black Ministries Program into a national initiative, preparing a new generation of pastors for the Black Church. Expanding the two-year certificate course to a wider audience is made possible by a $1 million grant to Hartford Seminary from Lilly Endowment Inc.

Christmas Gift-Giving Ministry Gets a Boost from Volunteers

December 8, 2021

The annual "Where Love Is" Christmas gift-giving ministry for children in need is back in full swing at Hartford International University. A dozen or so volunteers spent the evening stuffing gift bags and organizing toys for the hundreds of children who will receive them over the next few weeks.
