Miriam Therese Winter came to Hartford International University (then Hartford Seminary) to establish a department of liturgy, worship, and spirituality. She introduced ecumenical and cross-cultural emphases in theory and in practice, then developed feminist and multifaith approaches that have culminated in a quantum perspective.
Adair Lummis
Honorary Faculty Associate in Research
Adair Lummis is an Honorary Faculty Associate in the Institute for Religion Research at Hartford International University. Since completing the Ph.D. in sociology at Columbia University (1979), she has had an office at Hartford International. Her broad areas of study are: clergy deployment, competence, and health; incorporating racial/ethnic minority clergy into mainline denominations; gender, spirituality, and leadership in communities of faith; and denominational policies in mission and ministry.
