Imam Khalid Latif Offers Words of Healing to Seminary Students

Imam Khalid Latif has many jobs: Executive Director and Chaplain for the Islamic Center at New York University; Chaplain for the New York City Police Department; businessman. He has been invited to speak around the world and has been featured on media outlets from BBC and CNN to the New York Times, and he is the subject of the Chelsea Clinton-produced film “Of Many” about his close relationship with an Orthodox Jewish rabbi at NYU.

Fundraising Goal Reached for Imam Ali Chair for Shi’i Studies and Dialogue Among Islamic Legal Schools

Hartford Seminary is proud to announce that it has raised $1.5 million to establish the Imam Ali Chair for the Study of Shi’i Islam and Dialogue Among Islamic Legal Schools. It is believed to be the first chair devoted to Shi’i studies in North America.

Luce Foundation Awards $475,000 Grant for Expert in Christian-Muslim Relations

The Henry Luce Foundation has awarded Hartford Seminary a four-year grant of $475,000 to hire a scholar with expertise in Christian-Muslim relations from a Christian perspective. This scholar will join the faculty of the Seminary’s Macdonald Center for the Study of Islam and Christian-Muslim Relations, the oldest such center of its kind in the United States.

Megachurch Report Shows Continued Growth But Many Challenges

But they are facing some of the same challenges as smaller Protestant congregations in attracting young people and members who are committed long-term.

Wabash Center Awards Grant for Faculty Training
