Finding an Article From a Citation
Sometimes you have a citation for an article, but don't know where to find the actual content of the article. For example, if you have found something in Index Islamicus online, it is probably only a citation, not a full-text item. Your citation should include:
-
Journal title
-
Article title
-
Article author
-
Journal issue, year, volume
-
page numbers
Four Steps to Finding Your Article
Step 1: Search for the journal title in the the Digital Theological Library (DTL).
Step 2: Search for the article title in the Library Catalog or in our online databases.
Step 3: Search for the journal title in our online databases A-Z list. Use the Find Journals box on the search page.
Step 4: Search for the journal title in the Library Catalog to see if we own print copies of the journal.
Step 5: If we do not have it online or in print, you may request it via Interlibrary loan (ILL).
