CH-600: Chaplaincy Program Retreat
June 7-10
77 Sherman St., Hartford, CT
The retreat is an opportunity for chaplaincy students to be together face to face, to build relationships, and to have an experiential deep dive into issues of spiritual care with the ill and grieving.
The 3-day chaplaincy program retreat (CH-600) is a required component of HIU's MA in Chaplaincy program for students first matriculating in fall 2023. For students that entered the program before fall 2023, registration is welcome and encouraged, but not required.
Enrollment in the intensive course, CH-621, running from June 3-6, along with the retreat, is encouraged but not required. In order to earn the three credits for the CH-621 course, however, students do need to also register for the retreat.
Registration for CH-600: Chaplaincy Retreat and for all summer courses can be completed in Populi.
There is no fee for the summer 2024 retreat. CH-621, as with all other credit-bearing courses, carries the regular tuition fee of $1000 per credit.
HIU housing may be available, on a limited space-available basis. Information about housing accommodations for the intensive(s) and the retreat will be distributed separately via student email.
