Indonesian Scholar Reflection: Finding Answers at HIU

November 2, 2023

Muhammad Abdul Aziz, PhD Student

Muhammad Abdul Aziz

I am fortunate to have a six-month period of short course here at the Hartford International University for Religion and Peace.

Wherever my sight sees, there I see a green. This green do I find also in the heart of almost everyone I meet here. This green represents peace which is also articulated in the white colour of the HIU main building.

Peace, amidst the current days of war in the Holy Land, is pertinent to be mainstreamed; a main mission every religion comes up with.

I believe that everyone has the freedom to choose a religion or a spiritual path he/she is interested in. However, I am still interested in exploring the reasons why someone including me even choose a certain religion or a spiritual path.

At the HIU, I am finding the answer to it.

Thank you, Muhammad!
