AARP: Howard Thurman on Social Responsibility and Interreligious Understanding

Twentieth-century mystic, poet, philosopher and theologian Howard Thurman, who was influential in the civil rights movement and a mentor to Martin Luther King Jr., conveyed important lessons about social responsibility. He also modeled interreligious openheartedness. This session of AARP Connecticut’s Faith in the Neighborhood series, presented by Hartford International University for Religion & Peace, will share a fresh look at Thurman’s legacy.

Each session is approved for (1.0) Continuing Education Credits by NASW/CT and meets the continuing education criteria for Cultural Competence for CT Social Work Licensure renewal. Approval applicable for license renewals for CT LPCs, LMFTs, and licensed psychologists. CEUs available to Social Workers in states recognizing NASW State CE approvals.

This nursing continuing professional development activity has been approved by CT Nurses Association (CNA) an accredited as an approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.  

Completion of a post-event evaluation/pre-registration is required.
