HIU Wins Awards for Logo, Blog, and Name Change Video

Hartford International University for Religion and Peace won three awards in the 37th Annual EduAd Awards, which recognize outstanding work in educational advertising.

HIU was a Merit Winner in the Special Video category for the video announcing that Hartford Seminary would henceforth be known as Hartford International University for Religion and Peace. Communications Manager Steven Havira produced the video, which is titled, New Name. Bigger Mission. Same Commitment. It's viewable here.

HIU won a Silver Award for outstanding work in the category of Logo/Letterhead Design for its new "Ascending Dove" logo, seen above. Elliance Inc., our Pittsburgh-based partners in the process of renaming Hartford Seminary, developed the logo.

A Gold Award was presented to HIU for its blog site, "Religion & Peace." That site went live in the spring of 2021 and has been a collaboration between Elliance and HIU contributors. The blog, accessed via the website and at this link, has increased organic traffic to the website and introduced our programs to people around the world, according to Director of Communications Susan Schoenberger.
