Personnel Changes Announced; Two Promoted to Vice President

A number of personnel changes have been announced at HIU, including two significant promotions to Vice President.

Acting Academic Dean Deena Grant has been promoted to Dean and Vice President of Academic Affairs. After the President, Dean Grant is the most senior academic administrator at the university. She will play a significant role as a collaborative, inspirational leader and strategic partner in shaping the future of HIU and leading its administration and academic programs.

Lorraine Ryan, formerly Chief of Staff, is the new Vice President of Operations. She will serve as the university's key personnel manager and point person, working closely with the President and other senior leaders to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness. She will work on developing, implementing, and maintaining strategies that move the University forward. She will also serve as Secretary to the Board of Trustees.

Other changes include:

Andrea Jones has a new title: University Receptionist, Library Assistant, and Assistant to the Senior Leadership Team. We warmly welcome Andrea back to the first floor!

Sioux Wilusz has transitioned from part-time to full-time, and is now the Executive Assistant to the President and the Dean. In this role, Sioux will support both offices and assist the Development department. 

Eamon Ormseths role has expanded to include formal program support for MAP. His new title is Student Services Manager and Master's in International Peacebuilding Program Manager. 

Akeem Burgess will be transitioning to part-time status as HIUs International Students and Scholars Advisor as he resumes his studies.
