The Journal of Interreligious Studies (JIRS) has released Issue 40, a collection of rolling submissions. Issue 40 contains seven essays, five book reviews, and one book review essay.
Three items come from present or former HIU faculty. Hans A. Harmakaputra contributed “Worldly Saint, Political Saint: Revisiting the Christian Notion of Holiness;” Lucinda Mosher penned a short piece on the intersection of political and comparative theology; and David D. Grafton provided a review of Shiʿite Rulers, Sunni Rivals, and Christians in Between by Stephen Gertz.
The JIRS is published collaboratively by Hebrew Union College, Boston University School of Theology, and HIU. Dr Lucinda Mosher, director of HIU’s MA in Interreligious Studies program, is Senior Editor; HIU President Joel Lohr is a publisher.
