HIU Welcomes New Facilities Employees

We continue to grow! We are pleased to announce two new skilled individuals joining our Facilities department. 

Miles Ricketts is the new Facilities Maintainer. Miles comes to us from West Hartford, CT, and has great experience working as a Sales Associate in various departments at The Home Depot. Previously, he has served in the IT department at University of Connecticut. He’s currently enrolled at Central Connecticut State University, majoring in Computer Science. Miles will bring his skills, energy, and collaborative spirit to the Facilities department. He will work closely with Andy Taylor, our Facilities Manager.

Francis Fitzgerald is the new Director of Facilities and Campus Operations. Francis comes to us from Plantsville, CT, and has great experience in planning, design, construction, and operations. He served most recently as the Assistant Vice President for Facilities Planning and Operations at Brooklyn College. He also served as Associate Director of Facilities and Capital Project Management at Columbia University. He holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. Francis will bring his leadership skills and experience to the Facilities Department.
