Christmas Gift-Giving Ministry Collecting Donations for 2024

Professor Emerita Miriam Therese (MT) Winter will be back in Hartford in December to continue her long tradition of donating toys and gift items to needy children in Hartford.

The Where Love Is Christmas Gift-Giving Ministry to Children in Need has been in operation for several decades. MT and her helpers, directed by the Rev. Gail Williams, accept new unwrapped toys, as well as donations to purchase new toys and gifts for a network of schools and social service providers. The providers then "shop" for the children they serve. Many of these children would otherwise go without gifts for Christmas.

Volunteers filled hundreds of gift bags with small toys and "stocking" items to give away as well. The small toys are donated by Sandra Russak, a graduate of Women's Leadership Insitute, which Professor Winter directed for more than 25 years.

Please bring a gift to campus or send a check so that the gift-giving ministry can purchase toys and gifts. One hundred percent of your donation will to go the Where Love Is Christmas Gift-Giving Ministry to Children in Need.
