Rabbi Yitzchok Adler

Biography

Rabbi Yitzchok Adler has been the spiritual leader of Beth David Synagogue in West Hartford since 1995, and before then he served communities in Savannah (GA), Chattanooga (TN) and Jacksonville (FL). He was ordained at Yeshiva of the South in Memphis (TN) and earned his secular degree at Memphis State University. He is a member of the Rabbinical Council of America and has served two terms on its Executive Board, and he is a founding executive board member of the International Rabbinic Fellowship. Rabbi Adler is a practicing mohel and served as the Rabbinic Administrator of the Hartford Kashrut Commission 1996-2023. He was the Jewish campus chaplain at the University of Tennessee - Chattanooga while also serving as the community's orthodox rabbi (1979-1984). While in Jacksonville (1984-1995) he was a member of the Mayor's Commission for Community Relations. He is a hospice chaplain affiliated with Hartford Healthcare. He and his wife Leslie are the proud parents of three married children and the blessed grandparents of eleven grandchildren living in New Jersey, New York and Israel.
